Intermediate examination certificate
The intermediate examination certificate can be applied for after all the necessary examinations have been taken (i.e. at least two successfully completed examinations in civil law, public law and criminal law, cf. intermediate examination regulations). Application can be made in person, by telephone or by e-mail (do not forget your matriculation number!) at the examination office. The certificate is usually ready to be collected within two days. Please note: the certificate must be collected in person. If you lose your intermediate examination certificate, you can apply for a duplicate (fee: 25 Euro).
If you have not yet completed courses required for the intermediate examination certificate, a transcript of records can be provided. This too must be applied for at the examination office in person, by telephone or by e-mail.

Form 5 - proof of performance
If you require proof of performance to qualify for further BAföG support from the 5th semester onwards or for your first BAföG application in an advanced semester, please bring the form 5: Certificate according to § 48 BAföG - proof of performanceExternal link to the examinations office. Simply presenting the intermediate examination certificate to the student services office is not sufficient for further funding.
